Apologies turned into disasters / Aaron Davis

aaron-d:

Aaron had been thinking about Donovan a lot, he really fucked up with his best friend. The reason why they didn’t want a relationship or anything like that was to avoid the fucking up of the relationship. Picking himself up from his bed, he took a look around the messy cabin. God knows when the last time he actually got up to do something was, he had been spending most of his time in his cabin avoiding any human contact. Which seemed alot sadder than it was since he had a brother and girlfriend he should be checking up on. It amazes Aaron that Violet was still with him, he was never really there for her and he always caused her so much shit.

Drunk and Upset // Lily & Donovan

Lily frowned. She could tell from the way he was speaking that he was drunk. She’d been cradling a vodka bottle all evening but had only managed to drink a quarter of it before throwing up. It was never clever to drink on an empty stomach, and Lily had barely eaten at all lately. “Ok, I’m…I’ll be over in a moment,” she mumbled before hanging up the phone and slipped her jumper on. She made her way over to Donovan’s dorm and knocked on the door loudly, just in case he was totally out of it.

Donovan jumped again, scared. Then he realized it was Lily. He stumbled over to the door and opened it. “Hey,” He whispered, moving so that she could come in. He looked around and realized he left the broken beer bottles on the floor by the wall he was throwing them at. You could easily tell he was having a fit. He hoped it didn’t scare her, but he didn’t know what else to do, as he jumped on his bed, laying flat on it. “Why does everything bad happen to me?” He said, lifting himself up to look at her.

Lily exhaled loudly and leant her forehead against the window. She was lucky enough to have a dorm that had a huge, wide windowsill sort of slotted into the wall, so she had been sitting on it for about three hours, enveloped by her thoughts and captivated by the sunset. Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ringing quietly, so she climbed down off of the windowsill and dug around in her bag until she found her phone buried deep at the bottom. She raised her eyebrows at the caller ID and picked up the phone. “Donovan?”

Donovan jumped, as he forgot he was calling anybody. “Hi Lily,” He slurred. “My Lily pad,” He said, giggling at himself. *hiccup* “Can you come over? I really need a *hiccup* friend right now,” He said quietly,  trying to sober himself up. This wasn’t the proper way to handle problems and he knew that, but he couldn’t help himself. He just wanted to drown himself in liquor until he was happy again.

Drunk and Upset // Lily & Donovan

Donovan paced back and forth in his room before throwing another glass beer bottle at the wall, watching it explode and fall to the ground, leaving broken pieces everywhere and beer dripping down the wall. By now, he was completely drunk and could barely stand up straight, so he sat down on his bed, drinking straight from the vodka bottle, not caring that it was slipping out and falling down his chin. He wiped away his tears and called the only person he felt he could. Lily.

Lily and Donovan

lily-stevens16:

“You never know Donovan…maybe he’s just too much of a wimp to admit how he really feels. From what I’ve heard, Aaron gets around, so maybe he’s just too afraid to change from being that person to being in a relationship. But he might want to.” Lily paused and frowned. “I think…I think you really need to just talk everything through with him. Tell him how you honestly feel. You have nothing to lose, right?”

Donovan nodded. “Yeah. I guess so. I mean, I’ll try.” He said, looking up at her. “Thanks Lily,” He said hugging her softly. “You’re a great friend. Actually, my only friend at the moment,” he said with a slight chuckle.

Lily grinned. “Thanks Donovan, and yeah, I know what you mean,” she chuckled, elbowing him back in the arm. “Does he know that? Or are you too afraid to tell him?” Lily asked quietly. She wasn’t going to judge him if he was afraid to tell Aaron the truth, and she hoped Donovan knew that. If she was in his situation, she’d probably be scared that the friendship between them would be completely unrepairable if he found out.

Donovan shook his head and looked back down at the ground. “I- I haven’t told him. He’s with Violet now…” He said, not able to show Lily him tearing up again. He felt feminine, weak, like a wuss. But he’s never felt that way towards anyone before. “I really believed that he felt the same way about me…..” He said, still not looking up.
